The Structure of an Atom

An atom is the basic building block of matter and consists of three main particles  protons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons and neutrons form the nucleus at the center of the atom, while electrons orbit around the nucleus in various energy levels. The number of protons defines the element and its properties.

Atoms combine in different ways to create all the substances we see around us. Understanding atomic structure is essential in chemistry and physics, as it explains how elements interact, form bonds, and create molecules that make up everything in the universe. Shutdown123
